Praise and Prayer for January 31, 2011

Reports, some important correspondence and tax documents were among the items we were able to check off our to-do list. Emmanuel and Jonathan went to check out another hall on Tuesday. This place looked like a good possibility for a concert in June. On Wednesday when Jonathan checked the mail for our coworkers who are on home ministry, he discovered a leaky pipe under the kitchen sink. He returned the next morning with a plumber, and again on Friday to meet the water heater technician for the annual servicing.

Attendance was good both for Tuesday prayer meeting (24) and for Sunday morning. There were 9 in Adrianna’s Sunday School class on Sunday. The annual meeting was held Sunday afternoon with 30 present, two of which were not yet members. The deacons were chosen and the annual reports were given. It was encouraging to see how God has continued to bless His work here at the church under the leadership of a new pastor.

Praise for:

- 24 in prayer meeting Tuesday.

- the good attendance in Sunday School, and for one family present who hasn’t been there in several weeks.

- the completion of several reports and other administrative duties.

- a good annual church business meeting Sunday, and for a spirit of unity.

- the testimonies of two newly saved young adults on Sunday morning, and the preparation for their baptism on February 13.

Pray for:

- B. who will be having eye surgery tomorrow, and J. as she has learned that she will lose the sight in one eye.

- our visit with one of the members on Thursday morning. Pray that we will have wisdom in the counsel we give to her.

- the English Encounter this Thursday evening.

- our interaction with teachers and parents as we each accompany the kids’ classes on field trips this week.

- good health for each of us, as we fight nasty head colds and sore throats.

- direction for our future as the Lord guides us step by step.
